In case I haven't said so yet, I LOVE MY CHURCH! Our Sunday School class is an amazing group of couples - we're all parents of young children, and the way that we can engage in a discussion and still coalesce into such a supportive and loving group is amazing. And then to be able to move from that environment into a corporate worship and study experience is just such a blessing! Our Pastor does not believe in pulling punches, and he really will just tell you what the Word of God says, without sugar coating it for you. Today was one of those days. Recently we've been listening to a series of sermons from the book of Jude. The message today was about putting boundaries in your life. Here is how God spoke to me:
Guardrails are designed to keep something from straying into dangerous or off-limits areas. Ask yourself: "In my daily/spiritual/financial life, where do I need boundaries?"
God's boundaries aren't there to restrict me, they are to protect me and to give me the best. Jesus says that He has come so that we may have life and have it in abundance! We have to believe that.Unbelief leads to rebellion which leads to chaos. You can push back, but if you don't have boundaries you will find yourself straying into areas that are off limits and dangerous. God warns us of the folly of following your own conscience instead of the guidelines He has given us. It's important to remember that eternal punishment was never designed for people - it was designed for satan and his fallen angels. But, we believe in justice and if we believe in justice for one, we have to believe in justice for all. God doesn't want anyone to perish, but He also doesn't want to make anyone do what they don't want to, He wants to give us what we want, whether that is a relationship with Him or not.

I hope this has spoken to you today as it did to me. I'm going to be thinking about that question at the beginning and looking for the boundaries that I need to place in my life so that I can stay in the center of God's will. I need to acknowledge that the boundaries God has given me are there for my benefit, and not to restrict me.
Happy Sunday everyone!
